Expected on first run

Boneyard Voice is currently distributed as an unsigned private-beta application. Windows may display “Windows protected your PC” and identify the installer as coming from an “Unknown publisher.”

This is the expected SmartScreen reputation warning for a new, low-download unsigned application. It is not, by itself, a Microsoft Defender malware detection. Confirm the filename and SHA-256 below, then use More info, followed by Run anyway.

Windows installation instructions

Download Boneyard Voice only from this page.
Verify the filename and SHA-256 checksum shown below.
Double-click the downloaded installer.
At “Windows protected your PC”, select More info.
Confirm the displayed filename is BoneyardVoiceBeta-0.20.0-beta.5-Setup.exe.
Select Run anyway and complete the installer normally.

Optional PowerShell verification

The returned SHA-256 must exactly match the checksum published in the verified-file panel.

Installation sequence

Download from this page

Use only the installer hosted on theboneyard.xyz. Do not use copies from chat attachments, file-sharing sites or another tester.

Confirm the SHA-256

Verify the downloaded file before opening it. The expected checksum and PowerShell command are published on this page.

Handle the expected prompt

Windows may display "Windows protected your PC" and identify the installer as coming from an "Unknown publisher." Select More info, confirm the filename, then select Run anyway.

Approve through Steam

After installation, launch Boneyard Voice, choose Steam sign-in and approve the current Windows device in the browser window that opens.

Operating rules

What testers should expect

PTT and open-microphone transmission only operate while a verified The Isle process owns the foreground window.

Mumble is not required. Voice onboarding, credentials and session creation are handled by the Boneyard Voice client.
